My mom and Ryan's mom both got to go to the fair with us and the kids this year, which was pretty cool. The highlight--besides the fried food for the adults and my favorite dessert ("poor man's apple sundae")--was Danielle getting to go on the rides. She had never been on anything other than a quarter machine at the mall or the carts that get pulled behind a tractor at the pumpkin patch. She LOVED it! The carousel was her first ride and Daddy went with her. After that, she rode on quite a few of the other rides. She was about a half inch shorter than the requirement, but most of the ride operators called it close enough, especially since her bow stuck up just enough. The four of us adults had a blast just watching her.
Danielle also "won" an inflated Diego prize at the pick-a-duckie game. She'll sit and watch "Go, Diego, Go!" with him next to her sometimes, which is pretty funny. Samuel just chilled out in the stroller the whole time. He is such an easy baby to be out & about with.
Next year, expect to see pictures of me and Danielle on an elephant!
