Samuel Rolls Over

Oops--Forgot to post this video.  This was from a month or two ago, when Samuel started rolling over (not counting the times he did it at 3 weeks old!)

Christmas Photo Shoot

Christmas Lights!

Ryan promised me last year that he would put Christmas lights up the day after Thanksgiving, since we didn't seem to get around to it the past two years.  I had volunteered to go up on the roof this year to help, since Ryan is afraid of heights and I'm not, and I'm not pregnant this year.  Turns out, I am afraid of being up on the the upper roof of our two-story house (probably because I'm a bit klutzy and didn't trust my footing on the shingles).  So Ryan hung the lights, even though it took a lot of time and several trips to the stores to get more supplies to get it all done.  The result is beautiful!  (Now I just need to finish putting the rest of the Christmas decorations up)

Visit with Santa

I took the kids to see the Santa that is at the Christmas in the South craft fair every year. He's actually the same Santa that we got a picture with for Danielle's first Christmas (we missed last year, oops). I'm not sure why the kids had so much trouble looking at the camera, but at least they weren't kicking and screaming :)

MIsc Pictures

Here are some miscellaneous pictures from the past two months.  Enjoy!

Mom and the kids

Daddy and his yucky mustache and the kids

Samuel trying to gnaw Grandma's arm off
Chewing on his exersaucer

He likes green beans!  (Danielle didn't)

He also loves the kitties

And trying to grab the remote

And most of all he loves his sister!

Fair, 2011

My mom and Ryan's mom both got to go to the fair with us and the kids this year, which was pretty cool. The highlight--besides the fried food for the adults and my favorite dessert ("poor man's apple sundae")--was Danielle getting to go on the rides. She had never been on anything other than a quarter machine at the mall or the carts that get pulled behind a tractor at the pumpkin patch. She LOVED it! The carousel was her first ride and Daddy went with her. After that, she rode on quite a few of the other rides. She was about a half inch shorter than the requirement, but most of the ride operators called it close enough, especially since her bow stuck up just enough. The four of us adults had a blast just watching her.

Danielle also "won" an inflated Diego prize at the pick-a-duckie game. She'll sit and watch "Go, Diego, Go!" with him next to her sometimes, which is pretty funny. Samuel just chilled out in the stroller the whole time. He is such an easy baby to be out & about with.

Next year, expect to see pictures of me and Danielle on an elephant!

My Silly Girl

Danielle makes me laugh!

Halloween--finally!

Danielle got to choose between being a pirate or Tinkerbell this year, and she chose pirate, yay!  I had all the fabrics already in my stash, so I made her outfit using the same pattern that I used to maker her cowgirl costume last year (and scrubs and chef outfits for Morgan & Taylor to use for dress-up).

Samuel got a coordinating pirate onesie and striped pants, and his Mimi put a bandana on his head because it was so cold on Halloween.  It made him look like a little gangster.

I made a shirt that said "My children are my treasure" but no one could see it because it was a black shirt in the dark.  Smart Angie, real smart...

Danielle kept asking about cake--I think she thinks every holiday gets cake, since her birthday is close to Easter and Ryan's is on Christmas!  Next year I am going to make her some Halloween cake!  She caught on to the idea of getting candy real quick and everyone gave her extra because she was adorable.  Every time she was prompted at a door with "What do you say?" she would reply "Thank you!" instead of "trick or treat"--it was so cute!

Samuel spent his Halloween sleeping. Which is good, because we went pretty far and it was pretty cold and I was a bad mama and forgot a blanket.  Though the kids had lots of layers and extra clothes on.

Cute Pie

Corn Maze

Back in October, MOPS (Mothers Of PreSchoolers) went to a farm that had a corn maze and hayride. Danielle loved the corn sandbox and playing with her friend Lucy in particular. I made her outfit for the day, though we had to layer it over a purple shirt because it was pretty chilly.  It was fun to get out and do something festive!

We need to get her a sandbox--
she loved this cornbox!

Me and my sweet kids

Haha!  Samuel and Molly (on the right) are almost as
big as their older siblings

Me and my boy :)

I love my crazy little girl!

Still catching up--visit to Shawna's

So all those posts I did a month ago STILL didn't catch me up, ugh. I wanted to post pictures of the kids with Santa, but thought it would be a little odd if I later added Halloween pictures. So, here I go again, trying to catch up. Let's see, I left off with Samuel eating rice cereal. That means I missed posting about our visit to Tennessee. I took the kids to see my sister and her family in early October. It turned out that was the same weekend my parents were planning on visiting, so we all got to see each other, which was great.

Morgan and Taylor were really excited to see Samuel. And they were so good at including Danielle and treated her like a sister. The girls (and Samuel) headed off to Chuck E Cheese and the pumpkin patch and made candy necklaces and had all kinds of fun together while the guys watched football:) Here are some pictures.
