Danielle dancing

The past month or two

I made matching shirts for Danielle and the baby in February:

Wearing our new bows (thanks Aunt Shawna!):

Chilling out, just like Daddy:

Modeling some fabric choices for Mama (she actually bats her eyes and tilts her head when I hold fabric up to her--that's my girl!):

Angie Update

I have been BUSY!
I decided to finally take the big step and start trying to make some money from my sewing. There has been a lot of research since the beginning of January into business legalities and supplies and I have spent a lot of time figuring out inventory and sewing samples and designing websites and other media. The result is that I'm now selling embroidered burp cloths through Facebook.

After the baby is born and things settle down again, I plan to start selling on Etsy and making arrangements to attend a craft fair and possibly a local farmer's market. Ideally I would make enough money to ease up our finances a little bit, as we do make much less money with me staying home. The priority is to be able to spend time with my husband and children while doing this though, so if that means I need to keep things small, so be it. It is a bit hard for me not to run at something full steam, but I really want to keep my priorities in order and myself focused.

Here is the site where I am offering my burp cloths:
DaniKate Burp Cloths
You don't have to have a Facebook account to access it, nor do you need one to order. At some point I'd like to have a DaniKate website, but a Facebook page is the right solution for me right now. I'd like to also do barrettes and embroidered t-shirts and maybe some ruffled skirts, but, again, I'm trying to be reasonable. It's very hard! That's where Ryan definitely plays a key role--he makes sure my head doesn't get so far in the clouds that my ideas become impractical and un-workable :)

Because of all this start-up stuff, I haven't sewn as much as I'd like to. Oh yeah, and I'm still pregnant and taking care of Danielle and the house and trying to kick *another* cold. I have taken some photos recently and will try to post those within the next week.
