I've also been catching up on cleaning since our vacation to my parents' house. Actually, I'm not catching up, I'm sort of doing a spring cleaning type thing but at the end of summer. I am getting rid of as much stuff as I can bear to and tweaking my organization. Now that we've lived here almost two years, I know what works and what is a pain to keep neat. I've done mostly stuff in the kitchen and my sewing room for now. The family room just needs a little work and I have plans to clean up the back porch soon as well. I've had to shuffle kids' clothes around a LOT--Samuel has grown out of 0 to 3 and out of 3 months in certain brands.
Samuel had his 2 month check up a week and a half ago and was 14 lbs, 10oz and 24.75 inches long. He's above the 90th percentile for both, with his head in the 75th percentile. He is a happy baby, always smiling. He also seems to be quite smart like his big sister, as he listened when the doctor told me he should not be fed in the middle of the night anymore (apparently because he's over 12 pounds). I asked her what I should do when my baby woke up in the middle of the night and she suggested I let him cry and go back to sleep. I wasn't ready to do that at all! Luckily, I didn't have to. That night, I changed Samuel in his room (instead of bringing him downstairs where I normally change and feed him so we won't disturb Ryan). He kept his eyes closed the whole time, so I put a clean diaper on him and swaddled him back up and put him back to bed. It worked, and he slept 6.5 hours that night instead of his usual 4. The next night, he slept 7.5 hours, and since then he's slept anywhere from 6.5 to 9 hours, with one exception. And that was because we goofed and let him nap until his bedtime. Sometimes it's hard to juggle everyone's schedules. Anyways, he's been sleeping through the night and it's awesome and he's awesome and everything is just really good here. We really do have a wonderful family and home and I'm so thankful for this stage of my life.
So, to reward you for reading all that, here are some pictures. I will try to post more over the next week as well.
