It's been a busy few days! I started working again (part-time, from home) at the end of last week, and actually picked up at least double the hours I planned to. That's okay though, because we have a new car to pay for!

We brought our new family vehicle, a 2009 Chevy Traverse, home on Monday. It rides unbelievably smoothly and quietly! It's got plenty of room for Ryan and can seat 8 (although we do NOT plan on having 6 kids!)

Danielle had her two month checkup and vaccinations yesterday (Tuesday). She is now 22 1/4 inches and 10 lbs 9 oz!!! She has chubby little legs and arms and is starting to look like the Michelin man :) The doctor said she is in the 75th percentile for baby girls her age. She got a couple shots and didn't like them at all. The worst part was not knowing that we should give her Tylenol to help with the pain she had later that evening. We were pretty mad at the doctor for not mentioning that, we are pretty new at this parent thing after all! Anyways, she felt much better today and even watched Terminator with Mommy and Daddy :)

Danielle Update

Things are going good here for the most part. Our sweet baby girl has been possessed by the I-don't-want-to-sleep-even-though-I'm-super-tired-so-I'll-just-cry demon for the last two nights. I guess with two hard-headed parents, we shouldn't be surprised that she's so stubborn so soon! But we are rewarded with her smiles and holding her head up and other neat joys. Earlier tonight she was dancing with Daddy, here's a picture from that:

Here are some pictures and a video of Danielle on the changing table. What a difference a few weeks make! She used to scream the whole time she got her diaper changed, now she thinks it's play time. She'll wiggle and gurgle the whole time, so mommy really likes changing her now :)

Visit with Grandma Ray

This is a little belated, but Danielle had a blast during the week she spent with Grandma Ray. We all went to dinner twice, plus took a visit to downtown Charleston. Mimi loves singing to Danielle, telling her stories and cuddling. Here are a few pictures from the visit:

5 weeks!

It's hard to believe that baby girl is already 5 weeks old! She's so alert, holds her head up a lot, and is starting to "talk". She's even learned to play guitar!
