Baby Ray, due May 06

So, again, I am very behind on updating my blog. I have a good excuse though (besides not being able to find how to get into my blog). I have been busy feeling like crap for the majority of every day for the past few weeks...That is because we are having a baby!

Baby Ray is about the size of a kumqwat (which is a small citrus fruit, had to look that up). I just came back from my first ultrasound/visit with the nurse midwife, and the only news that isn't great is that the baby is due a week later than we thought. This isn't bad news, I was just really hoping to get through this first trimester and the pukiness that has accompanied it. Everything was really normal and I got to see the baby's heartbeat, the umbilical cord, my uterus... good stuff :)

I'm still waiting for the glamorous part of pregnancy: the beautifully big belly, the glow, the adoration of strangers. My sister and my mom seem to have skimmed over the part where you feel like crap, look like crap and your skin goes to crap:D As soon as we get to the glamorous part, I'll post some pictures of me!

Married Life is Good!

Okay, enough hounding to update my blog already! I have been busy, I am a newlywed!
Life is going really super well right now. I have a wonderful husband. We had a fantastic wedding, where I got to see lots of family and friends and we had a blast! I have an awesome new job with flexible hours where the people are great and my brain is super-stimulated. My sister has twin girls on the way... everything is just really really good.

Tattoo Removal (graphic)

Sorry, the picture is graphic! It was taken the day after I had my third tattoo removal treatment. For those of you who are curious, it costs about $200 per treatment, and, after 4 treatments, you can still see my tattoo. It's definitely fading and the black lines are gone in some spots, but it has a ways to go for sure (they say it can take from 2 to 16 treatments). I'm done with my treatments for now (put on hold due to $$ and the wedding), but will probably start again sometime in the future. I'm going to find a different place though, as I don't have that much confidence in the place I was going.

Belated update

So, this is long overdue... All the pressure from family has finally driven me to update my blog :)

I am less than one week away from marrying Ryan and I couldn't be happier. We're hoping for at least 65 years together and I can't wait for our big day (which is this Saturday)! We have had so many friends and family supporting us and showering us with love that I feel like I could burst.

We're having the ceremony at the Chapel of the Centurion at Fort Monroe (http://www.monroe.army.mil/Monroe/sites/installation/religious.aspx),

and the reception is at the Omni Newport News Hotel. (http://www.omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/NewportNews/WeddingsAndBanquets.aspx)

Then, we'll be whisked away to Miami to start our 7 day honeymoon on a cruise to the Western Carribbean!

I'm very excited as I got my first choice for all the wedding stuff, especially the photographer!: http://www.nicholegiffordphotography.com/

Well, I have much more posting to do... I will try to squeeze a few more in before the wedding if I get a chance.

Much love,
angie

First One

So, I just got done looking at my sister's blog and realized this may be a great way to keep up with friends and family. I love where I'm at and the possibilities ahead of me, and I'm looking forward to seeing where I will end up!

For the last few months I have been substitute teaching, mostly middle school math and high school business. It pays peanuts compared to what I made in the Navy, but I have great hours, a lot of variety in my workdays, and I get to be home to cook dinner every night, which I absolutely love!

I have a serious boyfriend, Ryan, who is in the Navy (we met on my last ship, the EISENHOWER). We have no clue when he's transferring (most likely early 2009), but when we do move, it should be back to Charleston, SC.

Ryan and I have two cats, Raina and Apollo, their picture is posted above. I am also going to have 2 neices/nephews as I found out yesterday my sister is having twins!! I am super excited about that and am hoping she has a smooth pregnancy.

Well, that's me in a nutshell for now. If you are friends/family reading this, I love you and miss you all.
